Mohammed Mishal serves as a Legal Advisor and Expert in Islamic Finance Practices at Ibrahim Al-Howishel Law Firm, he specializes in providing advice on Islamic finance products and issues, as well as developing innovative solutions that align with Islamic finance principles. His role is pivotal in ensuring that the company’s offerings meet the highest standards of Islamic finance, contributing to the company’s leadership in this specialized field.

Served as the Head of Shariah at Adl Advisory Sdn Bhd, holds a double major in Law and in Shariah from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and a Masters in Islamic Finance Practices (MIFP) from INCEIF. A Certified Shariah Adviser and Auditor (CSAA) accredited by AAOIFI and a Registered Shariah Adviser by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).

Expertise encompasses the preparation and review of legal documents in compliance with AAOIFI Shariah standards.  Collaborated with clients across Malaysia, South Africa, Australia, the United States, Canada, Turkey, Oman, and Indonesia. Experience includes Islamic finance research, product structuring, and delivering training on AAOIFI Shariah Standards, Shariah Governance, Islamic social finance, and Islamic finance and business ethics. Notable achievements include:

• Converting insurance products to Takaful.
• Transforming conventional term loan banking products into Shariah-compliant term financing.
• Structuring alternatives for startup financing instruments, specifically SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity).
• Reviewing Islamic fintech such as blockchain-based financing and cryptocurrency.
• Developing an AAOIFI-based Zakah calculator,
• Conducting Training of Trainers sessions for the Central Bank of Yemen.
